November 2005 Meeting Minutes

President Report (Paul Becka):

• Club dues are due tonight
• Several members dropping from the club: Matt McConnell, Dave Ramlow, and Zach Ramlow

V.P./T.D. (Carey Nordling):

No Report

Secretary/Treasurer (Allen York):

• Club received “Assumed Name” papers and a Federal tax ID
• A new bank account was set up with Guaranty Bank
• The balance based on the club’s financial ledger as of 11/3 was $539.52.  Once we combine the statements of both accounts (Guaranty and TCF) we will have a more accurate accounting.

Internet (Mickey):

• Mickey spoke to lack of participation in creel surveys by club members.
• Reminder to use the Bass Pro Shops and Amazon links on our website so that the club will get a 5% commission

Federation (Mike B):

No Report

Education (Dale):

• Matt’s program discussed  floating/emergent lake weeds.  Program was detailed and will assist club members to identify weeds of various species.

Conservation Director (Matt H):

Youth (Brent S):

No Report

New Business:

• Dale mentioned that the club overextended itself in purchasing for the Federation State Tourney raffle.  The amount is estimated at $133.  A motion was made to reimburse Dale for those purchases.  Motion carried and reimbursement was approved.
• New members voted in: Eric Hauge -- Welcome Eric!
• Paul discussed the club’s nomination for VP of MN State Federation.  After discussion the club unanimously chose Rich Lindgren.
• Mickey G brought a guest to the meeting - Rory Gunderson

Old Business:

• Spring Fling - Pomme de Terre dates chosen were April 8^th - 12^th. Note this Saturday - Wednesday. Paul has reserved 6 rooms.
• Matt brought up for discussion the use of  paper vs. live weigh-in tourneys.  Also, if live weigh-ins whether we would conduct in - water weigh-ins.  Not yet resolved.  Will be discussed further.
